MEU Polaroid Project

The strongest technical aspect of this art piece is how the white spaces of the pictures feel like an object is displaced. I like how I did the blades on the images, the polaroid kinda of fades into the blade. I feel like I can improve on the background but I wanted to do more of a tribute to the Marines in the photo.  Not many people know about Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs) but I didn't know want else to do in the background. It might if look better if the background was lighter or matched like the purple you did in your photo.
The easy part about this project was surprisingly making a part of the image come out of the photo. I thought is was going to be harder but I found the difficult part was making controlled chaos. I had no idea what to do in the background for this project. I added the two patterns of MARPAT but I like I should have blended them more creatively. The two other parts of the background I added patches and silhouettes and did the opposite color to contrast the pattern.
I demonstrated this art activity by popping out the nose, tail, mid section, and two rotors. I wanted to feel like it was more plopped down photos on a surface so the middle is white and I added a shadow outline so the images don't feel flat compared to the background. If I could do this again I would try to find an image that the background is more easier to work with than an open world and gives off more color.

Tattoo Artist Project

I think the strongest aspect of this work was the bigger tattoo on the upper arm. I actually wanted to change up the project a little than just doing a simple arm band. So I am actually kind of impressed on how I did the bigger tattoo. In a technical aspect, I think I could have focused on the main point of the work but I wanted to try something different. Maybe should have had a bigger arm band tribal tattoo but the arm in my eyes looked better with the main attention to the shoulder.
The easy part of this activity was making the tattoo look more like a tattoo. As in it looks like its apart of the skin instead of a marker drawing. If you don't make it more transparent, it looks more fake that an actual tattoo. The more difficult part was making the tattoo look like it was on his skin. So darkening and lightening spots to look like it bends and gives a depth feel.
I demonstrated the objective in two kinds of ways. I don't think it was wrong to do both tattoos even thought the main objective was just doing a wrapping tattoo. I felt like both are a nice touch. If I could do this activity again, I should focus more on the main wrapping tattoo. I would also try to do an image than a design, more like a sleeve.

Landscape Project

I think the strongest technical aspect of this project was changing the road to the river. The fades from the road make the river have depth on the edges. The sides blend better to the surrounding forest. I think I could improve on the blending between the trees and the sky. The edges just look like they fade away, especially the farther back ones.
The easy part of this art project for be was adding in the images. Finding the right images and make all the difference especially with the angles and the point of view. I hardest part was blending everything to make it work. I believe I should have picked a different picture because the tree were hard to work with in this image.
I used just a basic forest and a road image. I changed the road to the a river and instead of having a blue shy, I made it look dramatic. If I could do this again, I would change the background. This image was blurry and made the trees hard to work with. The image makes the project harder or easier depending on what you choose. I think it didn't come out that bad but I worked with what I picked.
